Mac’s OSX has an excellent e-mail client, but sometimes it’s nice to change a little.

Here’s a list of e-mail clients for your Mac. Some are free, some are not, find out below!

1 Sparrow Beta

Price: Free

Currently this is my favorite mail client: clean, fast and with cool effects. Sparrow only works with Gmail accounts, but of course there’s a way to integrate alternative e-mail accounts and have Gmail fetch it for you. No problem there!

Oh and by the way, although the ads shown are not intrusive at all, they can be disabled in the Advanced options menu.

2 Postbox 2

Postbox 2 is one of the best around. It handles all kinds of accounts and has extras like To-Do lists and tabbed e-mail browsing. Sweet!

3 Thunderbird

Price: Free

Considering more than 20% of the world uses Mozilla’s Firefox, their email client Thunderbird has to be pretty awesome as well. And it is: great design, tabbed mail browsing and more. Check it out!

4 Zimbra Desktop

Price: Free

Zimbra Desktop doesn’t look as attractive as the others mentioned, but it does have a lot of features. Besides the e-mail accounts you can manage, it has a Calendar, To-do lists and even Social Media integration so you can track and use your Twitter and Facebook accounts.

5 Opera Mail

Price: Free

Opera Browser users might have noticed this already, but I only just found out that Opera 11 has a Mail Addon. Although it’s a great browser, I’m not a huge fan, but this mail feature sure makes more attractive. Saves another installed piece of software.
