7 Easy Tweaks to Your Daily Diet That’ll Make You Fitter!

diet, food, health

Being on a diet is exhausting and tiring. A lot of people think that they need to closely watch what they eat, while in reality small diet tricks can make a difference. Living a healthy balanced life is better than exhausting your body with a strict dieting plan. There are simpler ways to watch your calories intake and feel good about your body. These fun tricks would help you follow your diet and feel healthy with every bite.

1 Eat slowly

If you eat slowly and enjoy every bite, you will eat less. Try eating everything with your opposite (non-dominant) hand. Your brain receives the signal that you’re full 20 minutes after you start eating. This way you will be forced to eat less in 20 minutes.

2 Drink more water

Sometimes you think you’re hungry, but in reality you feel dehydrated. Your body sends mixed signals to the brain that causes unnecessary snack consumption. You need to drink a glass of water every morning and before any meal. This simple trick will stop you from overeating. Stop drinking fizzy drinks and drink water instead. Artificial sweeteners in soft drinks increase your appetite. Keep a bottle of water with you, put it in your car or in your bag, have a bottle on your desk at work. You can also squeeze lemon into your water and enjoy its refreshing taste.

3 No more food after 6 pm

Late night eating is not good for your body; you will only gain more weight and would not fall asleep. That’s why you need to brush your teeth right after the dinner. It will prevent you from having a midnight snack while watching your favorite TV show. Your late evening activities should not revolve around food. It will be difficult in the beginning, but then you will get used to your new routine.

4 Less carbs

Try eating less bread, rice, pasta and other carbs. Choose the healthier whole grain products as they would not turn into fat in your body. If you’re used to eating two pieces of bread every morning, try cutting your consumption in half. Stop eating chips and crackers at work, choose fruit and nuts instead.

5 Tea-addiction

Start drinking green tea. It has less caffeine than black tea and also contains catechins, an element that increases our metabolism.

6 Natural sweets

If you cannot live without sweets, try avoiding artificial sweeteners and white sugar. Go to the local market and buy some seasonal fruits. You can start putting natural fructose in your teas and coffees instead of white sugar.

7 Enjoy veggies

A lot of people don’t consume enough fiber with their meals. Fiber is rich with vitamins and low with calories. Your body will become healthier and leaner if you start eating vegetables with every meal. The condition of your skin and hair will only improve with regular vegetable intake.

Regular exercising combined with a healthy diet would make you lose weight faster. You will also feel better and slimmer. Follow these simple tricks and you will notice the difference very soon!
