Top 5 Batman villains

Batman is one of the most popular super hero movies of all time. Not only did it start out as a cartoon and movie series in the mid-1960s but the franchise has continued to grow as popularity in the movie series has gained. One of the most awesome things about the movie series is the ability to continue due to the large about of villains that continue to terrorize Gotham city.  Of all the villains in all the Batman movies, here are the top five that have been favorited for some reason or another.

1The Riddler

Not only did Jim Carey play a fantastic crazy person, the Riddler made people think about what was happening. Really this was a fantastic character because he engaged people simply by being. He made people pay attention because fans needed all the clues to solve the riddles and find out what came next.

2Poison Ivy

Poison Ivy is one of the most iconic villains of the Batman franchise because she was different than all the rest of them. Not only because she was only one of two female villains but because her powers were given to her from an unnatural occurrence in nature that made her different. Instead of using her unique powers for good, she chose to go the other route, which was ultimately her undoing.

3Bane

Bane, as in the Bane from Dark Knight, not the one that associated with Poison Ivy, had super human strength that nobody ever imagined. He was unique because he was a bad guy by everyone’s creation, when in fact, he was only doing his job as a protector, protecting the very person that ended up getting him killed.

4Scarecrow

While much wasn’t revealed throughout the movie, it was clear that the Scarecrow was insane. Striking fear into people, poisoning them, and causing them to go insane themselves, he was one messed up guy that clearly had some psychological issues of his own. It seems more than likely that this bad guy will be back in one of the next installments of the Batman franchise.

5Penguin

Penguin was a unique character because he was so different. Living a life of being unwanted and shunned left him feeling scorned which ended up making him an interesting fellow. Danny Devito is very adept at playing at playing crazy as he did with Penguin. Also, having a pack of penguins with lasers attached to their heads is pretty awesome.
