Batman’s first appearance was in DETECTIVE COMICS issue 27 in May 1939, at the hands of Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger. This subsequently launched Batman’s career as a comic crime fighter in the years after. It was actually quite soon that the first Batman movie (series) appearance was a fact, as you can see below in this list of Batman Movies and TV series!
