Although I don’t have an iPhone myself, yet the rest of the world seems to carry one, I thought I’d search the internet for the coolest free, downloadable and most innovative Apps out there.
Here’s what I found:
1. Shazam
Never again wonder what song is playing. Just hold your iPhone up to the music. Shazam identifies the song, shows you the album cover, lets you read reviews, and best of all, lets you purchase the song directly from the iTunes Store. All your songs are saved, so you can organize them any way you want. Shazam recognizes millions of songs (and amazes everyone who tries it).
2. Facebook
Stay connected and share information with your friends on Facebook. Use your iPhone to start a conversation with Facebook Chat, check your friends’ latest photos and status updates, look up a phone number, or upload your own mobile photos to Facebook on the go.
3. eBay Mobile
Using a streamlined interface that’s as elegant as it is practical, eBay members can search, buy, pay, and check their activity on the go. Now with alerts, buyers can sneak in that last-minute bid on a hard-to-find item without having to keep the app open! In addition, sellers can check on their sales and everyone can act on time-sensitive information on the spot without a computer; whether it’s leaving feedback, responding to messages, or checking out today’s Deal of the Day. eBay is open for business anytime, anywhere on the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch.
4. Twitterific
Twitterrific is a fun application that lets you both read and publish posts or “tweets” to the Twitter community website. The application’s user interface is clean, concise and designed to take up a minimum of real estate on your Mac’s desktop.
To get started, visit the Twitter home page to sign up for an account for use with Twitterrific. Twitter accounts are free, take only minutes to set up and are a great way to stay connected with people around the globe.
5. eReader
eReader is one of the best known eBook formats, in use for over a decade and with hundreds of thousands of customers, and now it’s available for iPhone and iPod touch! eReader remembers what page you are on in each eBook, and allows direct wireless transfer of your content to the device’s internal storage for offline reading. eReader supports landscape reading, multiple font styles and sizes, table of contents, footnotes, sidebars, dictionary integration (load a dictionary, then look up the meaning of a word in any eBook you’re reading) and other advanced features.
